Global Organization of People of Indian Origin Connecticut Chapter (GOPIO-CT) Announces Scholarship for Stamford High School Seniors
This is a renewable scholarship open to a student attending a two-year or four-year college or vocational school. The two-year award is $2,500 total value. The four-year award is $4,000 total value. It is awarded to a student with a minimum 3.0 high school GPA. Additional consideration will be given to candidates of Indian sub-continent origin. Scholarship is distributed over the two or four years with the goal of completing one’s education. Student will be asked to attend the GOPIO annual gala in June 2015 to be honored at the event, and volunteer for GOPIO community activities sometime during the term of their award (based on availability).
Stamford Dollars for Scholars have setup GOPIO scholarship online in their website. Dollars for Scholars have extended their deadline from April 11th to April 17th on a request from GOPIO-CT. All applications should be submitted online (link below) on or before April 17th to be eligible for the scholarships.
Stamford high school students with origin from the Indian sub-continent may apply for this scholarship . While applying, they need to specify “GOPIO Scholarship” in their application so that the review committee will tag them under GOPIO-CT scholarship. Please notify that, applicant has to meet the criteria listed in the scholarship and all final decision will be taken by the Stamford Dollars for Scholars review board.
